Based on the book "Miss Savidge Moves Her House" by Christine Adams and Michael McMahon.
The incredible true story of May Savidge, whose 15th Century home, Ware Hall House, was set to be demolished by the Council in 1970 to make way for a roundabout. With little money, but a lot of time on her hands, May determined to preserve her house for future generations. She took it down, brick by brick and transported it 100 miles to the seaside village she had loved as a child. There she spent the next 23 years rebuilding it single-handedly.
